Lahaina is a small community in the western section of Maui. Lahaina was once the capital of the Hawaiian islands until the capital city was moved to Honolulu. It was originally known as the capital of the whaling industry where scores of whaling ship would anchored in front of her shores. Today, those whaling ships have been replaced with luxury ships filled with tourist visiting her beautiful shores.
Lahaina has a population of over 10,000 people living on her beach front shores. There are roughly about 2650 households. The medium income of the residents is over $60,000.00 so the combination of these residents and parade of tourist that come to her shores every day has propelled a large variety of Lahaina restaurants catering to all the culinary desires of her visitors.
